Another overnight sensation took place on the corner of 18th Street and I Street (also known as Eye street) right in front of the Farragut West metro escalator. This metro station is non-stop and exits onto the street directly in front of PRET. Being one of the busiest stores for the Pret Family it was our mission to re-model with minimal revenue loss. We set our goal to complete the renovation over 2 weekends and only shut down for 5 days total. This project was strategically planned by our renovations division and was under construction around the clock in 3 shifts over a 24 hour period. This allowed the store to thrive on its busiest days: Monday through Thursday. We closed the doors on the first weekend Thursday night and turned it over to open on Monday Morning @ 5AM. On the following Friday evening we started back up and completed all renovations by Monday Morning opening. This re-model has lifted this location into one of the Elite producers in the Pret Fleet.
Exterior signage, outdoor seating, and exterior audio were added. Interior renovations included:
- Complete Demo, and removal of all FFE and Equipment.
- New Faux Brick, Custom Wood Install on Columns and walls, New Rubber Flooring, and re-finished wood floors.
- Complete Ceiling and Bulkhead re-design and New lighting layout.
- Salvage old lighting as well as add new components and re-layout lighting plan
- New electrical Layout to accommodate New Grab-and-Go Langars, additional Refridgerators.
- Receive, Delver and Install completely new FFE package.
- Custom Millwork
- ADA updates, New entry way ramp, Complete Restroom Gut and Remodel.
- Custom Stainless Steel Chair Rail and Diamond Plate throughout.
- New Paint throughout, along with custom painted signage.
