Chrysalis Vineyards

Chrysalis Vineyards is located in Middleburg, Virginia, about half an hour outside of D.C. This vineyard produces a wide range of wines, many of which are not especially prevalent in the United States. This is because, in addition to their own locally grown grapes, the vineyard also uses imported grapes from Europe in creating its wines. Visitors to this vineyard will enjoy stunning views of the Bull Run Mountains, as well as numerous walking trails throughout the grounds.

 

 

Boxwood Estate Winery

Also located in Middleburg, the Boxwood Estate Winery is another local favorite. Be sure to try the rosé and the Topiary, two of the winery’s most popular varietals. This winery is truly special because of the array of picnic tables on the grounds. Bring along a picnic ensemble to enjoy with your wine, creating a memorable experience for you and your guests.

 

Fabbioli Cellars

Fabbioli Cellars delivers a unique wine-tasting experience in Leesburg, VA. When you visit for a tasting, each wine you’ll try comes with a delicious, gourmet food pairing to complement the flavors of the wine. After you finish your tasting, you are free to take your wine outside to enjoy the fresh air by the fire pit. Be sure to try the raspberry Merlot, for which the vineyard is best known.

 

Big Cork Vineyards

Big Cork Vineyards is located in Rohrersville, Maryland, about an hour and a half outside of D.C. The vineyard features a 10,000-square-foot tasting room, making it ideal for larger groups. For each tasting, you’ll be treated to a selection of eight wines from the vineyard. Chardonnay, Nebbiolo, and Valley Vixen are popular choices.
